He is the FIRST and ONLY international Filipino sportscaster.
His career is an example of how hard work and determination can lead to success. Basketball is where he started in 1991 at collegiate level covering the UAAP as a courtside reporter, then moved to the semi professional basketball league a year later with the PBL, before settling into the pro scene with the PBA for ten years until 2002.
The following year, he got a break covering the pool circuit with ESPN / STAR SPORTS, which propelled his international career. He has since gone on to work with various other groups and networks like NOW TV (HK), ASTRO (Malaysia), Starhub and Channel 5 (Singapore) broadcasting the Youth Olympic Games, NBA, Asian 9-Ball Tour, The World 9-Ball Pool Championship, Asian Bowling Federation Tour, WTA Bali Tournament of Champions, and the Australian Basketball League among others.
All this time, he continued to work with local networks like Solar Sports, Studio 23, and TV5 to maintain his footprint in local television covering Manny Pacquiao fights, the World Women’s 10-Ball Championship, Queen’s Cup, Beijing and London Olympic Games, Asian Men’s Volleyball Club Championship, Philippine Super Liga, Sochi Winter Olympics,SEA Games, Wimbledon, The Barclays Premier League, Liga BBVA, Liga Endesa, and the Bundesliga.
A few years ago, he joined Asia’s largest mixed-martial arts organization, ONE FC, as their cage announcer. He has thus travelled to Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Jakarta, Dubai, Cambodia, and Beijing in over 20 events with another string of fight cards scheduled for 2015!
